Conversation with Miguel Hilari (1985), Bolivian filmmaker of Aymara and German descent. His practice is concerned with memory, migration and urbanization processes. His films include After a fire (25’, 2023), Cerro Saturno (13’, 2022), Compañía (60’, 2019), Bocamina (22’, 2019) and El corral y el viento (55’, 2014). They have been shown at venues such as Visions du Réel, Oberhausen, Lincoln Center, ImagineNATIVE and Images, among others. He lives and works in La Paz, where he teaches film at Universidad Mayor de San Andrés.

He has engaged with a number of collaborative projects that explore artistic intervention in urban environment such as Dongdaemun Rooftop Paradise (2013- ), Non Art But Art (2011-12), Urban Guerilla Art Project (2013), Collaborative Squat Project in Han’gang Nodeul Island (2013), Public Art Project in Kwangju (2014) and Milmeori Art School (2002-11).
