Kadija de Paula & Chico Togni, a Brazilian duo working with informal economies, food, found objects, and alternative sustaibility models. Date:Wednesday, December 20th,2017

Great food and conversation about the thin line that separates humor, food, art, politics, disobedience, and dissemblance. Thanks to all that came, especially to Kadija de Paula & Chico Togni Brazilian artists and friends.

Kadija de Paula and Chico Togni are a duo of Brazilian artists who create situations and happenings that question the value of resources and social practices. Kadija combines food, text and performance to make self-organizing and alternative economical experiments. Chico builds structures and objects with found materials creating “events” and social experiences. Inspired by the precarity of the apocalyptical context in which they live in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, they attempt to downgrade, or take a step back in each operation related to their quotidian living so as to find different possible ways to keep on going.
