Taqralik visual and film work has been shown in exhibitions in North America, Australia, Norway, New Zealand and the UK. Her work umiakkut (by boat) is part of the 2026 Toronto Biennial of Art. Her first published work of poetry, Curved Against the Hull of a Peterhead, was published by the Indigenous Otherwise program of the Musagetes Foundation. She currently lives with her family in Ottawa.
She is the former director of the Nordic Lab at SAW Gallery in Ottawa and has worked as a curator for the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Art Gallery of Guelph and independently for various galleries. She is also the former Editor-at-Large of Inuit Art Quarterly and the current director of Aaqsiiq Inuit Theatre. She has performed at festivals in Canada and internationally for more than 20 years as both a spoken-word poet and Inuit throat singer.
